Support for the RISD Bond Program (2011 Success)

The Chamber supported the passage of the Richardson Independent School District’s 2011 Bond Program presented for the approval of voters on May 14, 2011. The bond program provided support for RISD schools for continual growth in several areas such as; facilities, technology, fine arts, athletics, and renovations. The passage of this bond program came at a pivotal moment for public school districts as the Texas Legislature dramatically cut state aid to public school distrists in 2011.
