Legislative Forum with Sen. Paxton & Rep Button, Carter, and Leach

December 14, 2012

The Richardson Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Committee is presenting a Legislative Forum featuring State Senator Elect Ken Paxton, State Representatives Angie Chen Button, Stefani Carter and State Representative Elect Jeff Leach. Our representatives will discuss the upcoming 83rd Legislative Session and help the public understand each representative's vision for North Texas and learn how that vision affects businesses and the community in the areas of public education, higher education, healthcare, economic development and transportation and other key topics.

 Legislative Forum with the Executive Director of TxDOT

November 30, 2012 

 

On November 30, 2012, the Richardson Chamber of Commerce hosted a public policy event with Phil Wilson, the Executive Director of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Phil Wilson is in charge of managing all of TxDOT's policies and programs. Additionally, he represents TxDOT before the Texas Legislature. Phil Wilson spoke at this public policy event with a goal of educating the Chamber membership on transportation issues facing the state. This event was an opportunity for our membership to stay informed in preparation for an often confusing Texas legislative session on one of the most important issues facing our state.

 

 Senate District 8 & House District 67 Candidate Forum 

February 24, 2012

As part of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce’s dedication to its membership and the community at large, we will be hosting a candidate forum for theTexas State Senate District 8 race as well as the Republican Primary race for Texas House District 67. We look forward to hearing ideas from a promising new crop of 8 candidates.
